Thursday, February 28: Meeting participants

· Registration and accommodation of participants, checking materials.
· Dinner;
· Presentation course;

Friday, February 29:
· Transfer ref. Rossi Monte Pania,
° Lesson theoretical Insurance technical snow and ice (packed lunch);
· Dinner;

Saturday, March 1:
° Lesson theoretical and practical techniques of progression on snow and ice (packed lunch) ;
· Dinner. Lecture of snow science and avalanche.

Sunday, March 2:
· trips with crash tests, and research with warning beacons (lunch at the refuge) conclusions and greetings.


Please note that for obvious reasons of technical organization and logistics, the course are limited, we can accept a maximum of 18 members.

Car: Motorway A12 to exit Versilia, then towards Marina di Pietrasanta.
Train: Railway station of Pietrasanta, Marina connected via the public line (bus)

for the course are open to all cavers:
1. are in good standing with the CAI membership for the current year;
2. They belong to a group of caving CAI
3. have basic knowledge of the techniques of progression on snow and ice.
4. at least 18 years of age by 31/12/07.


Personal equipment

Each participant will be provided with individual equipment in good condition, the progression on snow and ice, winter boots, crampons, ice ax, ice pick or hammer hammer ice, gaiters, climbing harness, helmet, clothing suitable for winter, a sleeping bag or sheets, and possibly a dynamic rope, some slings and carabiners.

Along with the application for admission must attach:

· Certificate certifying medical fitness to practice non competitive sports;
· Possible curriculum of mountaineering activity;
The application form must be sent by 23/02 / 07 to the Secretary of the course


The fee, set at € 230.00 per person and includes meals and lodging from dinner on Thursday, February 28, lunch on Sunday, March 2, 2008, insurance coverage, handouts and use of materials . The
